LINKS DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION UNIT - EnviroDAF™
|
|
DAF, or Dissolved Air Flotation systems can be applied to
the treatment of many types of industrial effluent streams including industries
such as food processing, general manufacturing, paper, metal finishing
and others. |
|
A Dissolved Air Flotation system is most effective in removal of solids and grease from wastewater.
A DAF system works by attaching micro fine air bubbles to particles in
the wastewater stream forcing flotation. The air bubbles are produced
by dissolving compressed air in a portion of the treated water under pressure
in a specially designed dissolved air concentrator. (DAC). Upon release
of this pressure at the DAF inlet, the air comes out of solution in mass
attaching to the particulate matter that subsequently rises to the surface. |
|
AJM's unique AJM Counter Current system combined with this fully automatic, self-cleaning, recycle saturation system allows the DAF to produce an excellent treated water quality, even under very high loadings. AJM EnviroDAF systems are manufactured in stainless steel and built
to last. All units are fitted as standard with a robust Counter Current
surface scraper system and a gently sloping base to ease cleaning. Larger
EnviroDAF systems can be fitted with uniquely designed multiple
coned base, bottom scraper or screw conveyor system. |
|
Most AJM EnviroDAF systems can be pre-assembled as shown on the photograph including mounting, plumbing and wiring of ancillary items such as chemical reaction tanks, dosing equipment, control panels, pumps and other instrumentation. Pre-assembly of Dissolved Air Flotation systems considerably reduces site installation time and is an ideal arrangement for export projects. All AJM EnviroDAF engineering is carried out using the latest AutoCAD software.
